The woman sat on the subway, cradling a small child in her arms, her expression a mix of weariness and determination. Despite the weight of the child in her arms and the fatigue etched into her features, not a single person offered her a seat.

Her gaze shifted from person to person, silently pleading for someone to acknowledge her need for rest. But the other passengers remained engrossed in their own worlds, their eyes fixed on smartphones or distant thoughts.

With a resigned sigh, the woman adjusted her grip on the child and shifted her weight, trying to find a more comfortable position. She glanced down at the sleeping child, their tiny fingers curled against her chest, and a small smile tugged at the corners of her lips.
