After purchasing a record player and The Beatles’ ‘Please Please Me’ album, he was deeply influenced by the rock ‘n’ roll revolution that was unfolding at the time.
His approach to learning to play drums was unconventional but effective; he played in front of a mirror to perfect coordination and rhythm without having to constantly look at his hands.
