Anthony Dellegrazie is a boy from Brooklyn, USA, who stands in tears over the body of his father, Phil Dellegrazie, who was run over by a thief while trying to stop him. “The 63-year-old owner of a construction tool shop was just leaving his store around 9 a.m. when he saw a thief who quickly got into his truck,” witnesses say. The father of three, who could have continued his work, immediately got into his car and chased after him. “When the thief stopped at a traffic light, he (Dellegrazie) got out of his car and went to the window,” says a worker who was nearby. “The thief pushed him and ran over him with the car. Then he abandoned the vehicle and ran away.” “When Dellegrazie’s sons arrived in their car and asked me what had happened, I had to tell them that their father had had an accident, he had passed away.” “Immediately the youngest son ran towards his father’s body… He was crying,” recounts Pablo Rodriguez in his testimony. The photo has now gone viral on the internet, while the boy’s Instagram is filled with comments about his father’s heroic act. In a recent post, Anthony wrote that the only reason he liked working on Saturdays was because he could spend a little more time with his father. “He is the hardest working man I know and I hope that one day I can be half the man he is,” writes the boy.
