Texas Pastor Jon Bell shared a fantastic message of faith over the weekend as he talked about a verse from 1 Timothy in an interview with Fox News Digital. The message has quickly spread across the internet as numerous accounts have shared the encouraging, hope-filled words.

Bell began by saying, “From the days of old there was a mystery unfolding, glimpses of grace that pointed to the wonders of God.” He then continued on, speaking about 1 Timothy 3:16, which says the following.

“And without controversy great is the mystery of Godliness: God was manifested in the flesh Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory.” – 1 Timothy 3:16.

Bell then began to talk about the importance of God sending his son Jesus to Earth, which “puts [God] on display in a way that man could relate to and understand. It was the communication of God in man’s language. All man could know about God would be revealed in His Son and His work.”

Bell described the nature of Jesus, calling Him “untainted by the fallen condition that affects all creation … When Jesus was baptized, that sinless condition was declared to the world as the Holy Spirit descended upon Him.”

At the first sight of the baptism of Jesus, the Heavens opened, and it became clear that He was the Son of God. Bell explained,  “Angels themselves, those heavenly beings, hovered around Jesus. They had never seen love like they had in the person and work of Jesus.”

Bell then went on to elaborate that Jesus’ sacrifice was made for everyone, not just those from one tribe or creed. Bell made that clear, saying, “Jesus is not regionally exclusive and isolated. He came for all the world.”

Bell also wanted to end with a message about what Jesus is currently doing and the roll that He plays in the salvation of mankind. While his physical body may not be present in our daily lives, Pastor Bell assured his listeners that the Son of God is still working to save the souls of those who follow him.

Bell said, “Jesus finished His work and went back to take His seat on the right hand of God the Father, where He lives to make intercession for us. He is our advocate in heaven, who paved the way to heaven for us through His life, death and resurrection.”

This message is an important one to hear in modern times when divisiveness and identity politics riddle the airwaves from the mainstream media. Regardless of nationality or political affiliation, Paster Bell wants people to know that Jesus plans to continue advocating for them to have eternal life with Him if they are willing to let him into their hearts.

Pastor Bell took time out of his day to give this interview, and it seems to be time well spent. Already, there is an outpouring of support for this message that seems to have made the world a slightly better place.
