Kyle Munson took this aerial photograph of two gray whales, which appear to be a mother and her calf, judging from the sizes, migrating. The possible drone used might have been the SwellPro Splash Drone 3, a drone that is great near water. The waterproof drone would have been impervious to any sea spray.

Gray whales’ migration patterns are no joke. Every year, they migrate 10,000-12,000 miles round-trip from one calving lagoon to another. They travel five miles an hour and cover around seventy-five miles per day. Their southward migration takes place in September and October, and their destination is the warm Baja and Mexican lagoon. Their summer home in the Arctic seas.
