Olivia Rodrigo has made it clear where she stands on the issue of reproductive rights. The 21-year-old singer had a show in St. Louis, Missouri. She has been touring for her Guts World Tour and at the show, the fans were given a gift that no one expected!

After Roe V. Wade was overturned in 2022, abortion access has been limited in many states, including Missouri. So Rodrigo decided to do something that sent a clear message on where she stands on the matter.

A fan that attended the show in St. Louis, tweeted a picture of the packet she got. In addition to two packages of emergency contraception, attendees also received numbers for Right By You, a service that sends you information on abortion care.

This included a QR code which led fans to a donation page for Missouri Abortion Fund. The text read, “Funding abortion? It’s a good idea right?” – a clever reference to Rodrigo’s song “Bad Idea Right?” on her album Guts.

Another tweet showed that fans could have picked up things. The text said, “Help us fund abortion. It’s brutal out here,” and “We would be happier if you followed us” — both of those were references to Rodrigo’s songs “Brutal” and “Happier,” which were songs on her debut album Sour.

The initiative was part of Rodrigo’s Fund 4 Good, which is made to help build an equitable future for women and girls. It is a community-based non-profit that supports girls’ education, reproductive rights, and gender-based violence prevention.

For her North American tour dates, Rodrigo partnered with the National Network of Abortion Funds.

“Supporting abortion funds has never been more critical, in an era where abortion access is under relentless attack,” Oriaku Njoku, NNAF’s executive director, said in a statement. “We are excited to be in partnership with Olivia Rodrigo, as she’s uplifting the critical work of abortion funds, and leading (her fans) into the movement towards reproductive freedom!”

While some people were supportive. Saying this was an amazing move from her.

Other people were angry. One person tweeted, ‘disgusting.’ Some thought she was trying to ‘corrupt the youth
