After “M*A*S*H,” Swit continued to act in various roles, including “The Love Boat” and “Hell Hath No Fury.” Despite her fame, she became more private, avoiding interviews to protect her personal life.

Swit, who chose not to have children, found her calling in animal rescue. She founded the Switheart Animal Alliance to rescue, protect, and raise awareness about animal cruelty. She also helps reunite war dogs with veterans and uses her art to fund her organization.

At 85, Swit remains active in animal advocacy and continues to inspire with her youthful appearance and dedication to animals. She lives with her rescue pets, embodying her belief in unconditional love and care for animals. “They love us unconditionally. Let’s give back and care for them unconditionally,” she says.
