Adele is toasting to the end of her 2023 Las Vegas residency.
The “I Drink Wine” singer, 35, has decided to imbibe once again after taking a step back from alcoholic beverages.
As she prepares to enjoy some time off before starting her 2024 Weekends with Adele tour, the Grammy winner told the crowd at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace that she was lifting her self-imposed drinking ban, as reported by the Daily Mail on Wednesday.
“I’m just going to chill. I’m annoyed as well that I’m sick because this is red wine weather,” she said.
“I stopped drinking, but obviously now I’m ready to start again because it is my break.”
Her upcoming shows begin in January 2024 after a 32-date extension was announced in late October.
Adele detailed the negative health effects of alcohol for her, as well as how it affects her performance.
“I can’t drink red wine ever when I’m singing because I don’t know about you, but red wine f—s me up. I cannot handle it,” she added while chatting with the audience between songs.
Instead of a glass of red, the “Easy On Me” songstress said that she’d shifted to sparkling water and half white wine with ice instead. She also said that red wine gives her “the worst hangover” and “it just gets rid of my voice.”
